We use Google Analytics to monitor traffic on our website. This lets us know how many people visit a page, download our catalog etc. It does not provide us with anything personally identifiable about you the visitor. Google Analytics will download a few cookies onto your computer which do not personally identify you or your computer to us but lets Google Analytics know if you are a brand new visitor to CROWNRIDGEBARRELWORKS.COM or a return visitor. The Better Business Bureau link at the bottom of the page also downloads a cookie for their use. When you get into the shopping cart for CROWNRIDGEBARRELWORKS.COM there are several cookies downloaded that allow you to add items to your shopping cart and return to them later etc.
When submitting an inquiry or a custom order online we ask that you include your contact information so that we can get back to you. When the order is received by our office or the inquiry is resolved we delete any stored information.
When making a purchase or credit card payment online you will be taken to the secure checkout page hosted by PayPal.com at "https://paypal.com/". The "s" in https means secure and refers to the 2048 bit encryption that all of your sensitive information is wrapped in when sent off to the banks. Also check for the small image of a lock to the left or right of the website address. The payment information you submit here is not stored or even ever seen by Crown Ridge Barrel Works. It is all handled off site and never stored by us. We get notification of what you ordered and that you paid for it as well as your contact/shipping information, but never any financial information beyond the card type and last four digits of the card used to make payment.

The information submitted will vary depending on the type of request, but in general we require your name and contact information so that we may respond to your request for information or your question. In order to submit an order with our custom order form system the visitor must submit not only the specifications required for their barrel - guided by our dynamic orderform logic - but also their contact and shipping information. The result of a completed order session is sent to the relevant member of our staff for order processing. Once this order is received, all personal contact information is removed from the web server and the order is transferred to our typical office procedures. We may also send information relating to your browser and operating system version for our own diagnostic use if there should be any technical issues.
SECTION 5 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you purchase something from our store, CROWNRIDGEBARRELWORKS.COM, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, physical address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address as well as information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

SECTION 8 - DATA STORAGE
Crown Ridge Barrel Works does not store any of your personal financial information for any online purchases for any amount of time, ever. Your credit card data is handled by PayPal as the payment gateway and is encrypted using 2048 bit SSL encryption before it is sent for secure processing off site. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
SECTION 9 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
